Narragansett Bay is one of the largest and most ecologically significant estuaries on the East Coast of the US. It is also a really enjoyable place to paddle. Let us share the beauty of this place with you as we explore the warm waters of the Bay and meet some of its residents, both plant and animal as well as some in between. As we glide over gently waving beds of eelgrass, listen as your naturalist guides explain its ecology and significance within the ecosystems of the Bay. We’ll find a spot to take a break where we can look for ospreys and pickleweed, or perhaps smell some sea lavender. We’ll discuss some of the threats to the health of Narragansett Bay and its residents before we return to our landing spot at Collier Point.
