Newport Harbor Tour

Welcome to the charming “City by the Sea.” One of America’s oldest cities, Newport is rich in colonial architecture and history. Appreciate the spirit of this city with us, on the water, as we guide you through its spectacular waterfront on the way to Goat Island. Paddle up to the Newport Lighthouse that overlooks the Newport Bridge, an active lighthouse that guided mariners as far back as the 1800’s. Our journey continues with scenic views of Rose Island, Jamestown, Hammersmith Farm, and Fort Adams. Pack a lunch and water, as we will break midday. Kayaks and PFD's are provided.

Directions to Kings Park, Newport
From downtown Newport turn South onto Thames St. at the Red Parrot Restaurant, go by Salas' restaurant, (will be a one way) then turn right (west) onto Wellington Ave. Kings Park is the waterfront area before the Ida Lewis Yacht Club. Some of the street parking along the Park is for residents only. Boat parking is farther along, on both sides of the steet near the launch site. Launching is from the concrete ramp or from the sandy beach to the right of the ramp. There are no public restrooms by the launch, but there is one next to the basefall field which is open during the summer.
