Come have a blast on a class 2 white water river while you learn the proper skills needed to safely and effectively enjoy this fantastic sport. If you paddled white water before or taken some flat water paddling lessons and want to test your skills on the river this is the course for you, after being outfitted with equipment we will move right to the river. After short flat water refresher and warm up we will start working on some skills so you can negotiate the river with grace.

Cost $115 per person Dates June 27 July 11, 25 Private course dates available upon request Start/ End 9am to approximately 4pm Meeting Location Eastern Mountain Sports in North Conway, NH Prerequisite Must meet essential eligibility criteria and be fit enough for a full day outdoor experience. Age limit 14 and up. Previous paddling experience on flat-water with some formal instruction. Includes White water boats or sit on tops are provided, helmets, wetsuits/dry suit, life preservers, paddle, paddle jacket, and paddle shoes, any shuttle transport back to your vehicle. Does Not Include Lodging, transportation, meals, personal gear and clothing. Please bring lunch, snacks, liquid, transport to the start, change of clothing, towel, small dry bag to carry in your boat, glasses retaining strap and nose plug.

WHAT TO BRING? Shop for Gear! Please come dressed for the weather and prepared with the appropriate gear and clothing for your kayak program. Below is a list of gear and clothing recommended by the Eastern Mountain Sports Kayak School. If you have any questions please call 800-310-4504. Neoprene long or short sleeve top Neoprene is recommended. Any non-cotton material is appropriate as well. Non-cotton pants or shorts This will depend on the weather and season. Wetsuits are available from the Kayak School for spring, summer and early fall paddling. Drysuits are used for cold weather paddling. Water shoes Can be provided by the Kayak School upon request. No open toed shoes please.
